Worship at Good Shepherd

Worship is a core piece of who we are. We like it so much, in fact, we do it twice a week!
Sunday Worship takes place each week at 10:00am. The service lasts approximately one hour and is friendly, inviting, and inspiring. We also rotate our service style each week with a traditional Lutheran organ liturgy, our jazz/folk/bluegrass Contemporary Band, our Gospel group featuring arrangements of classic old-time hymns, and our Praise & Worship Band featuring modern contemporary songs. If you come four weeks in a row you’ll experience four different styles of worship.
Wednesday Worship takes place weekly at 6:30pm September - April. This service lasts approximately 45 minutes and features a contemporary band with the same lesson and sermon from the previous Sunday. This service is energetic and inviting with many kids, teenagers, and young families.

Yes! Everyone is welcome into our faith family regardless of denomination.

Come as you are and wear whatever is comfortable! Some may dress up while some may be wearing jeans!

Yes! We love kids in worship at Good Shepherd. A noisy sanctuary is a sanctuary full of life, and we welcome wiggles , cries, and dancing in the aisles.
During Sunday and Wednesday services we also offer Children’s Ministry for all children Pre-K through 6th grade. Kids are dismissed after the Children’s Sermon and return for Communion.
For younger children we also have a play area in the commons area and busy bags with books, crayons, and other fun items.
-
Anyone and everyone is welcome to take Communion - both kids and adults. We believe that Communion is a physical sign of God’s love for us. God’s grace is also unconditional, and so there’s no need to take a class, belong to a particular denomination, or jump through any other hoops or requirements to receive Communion. Everyone is welcome to God’s table.

If you’re visiting for the first time, no one will ask you to stand up and introduce yourself. We promise! Relax, find a good seat, and focus on worshiping God with us. We would love to know you’re here, and you can tell us by filling out the online connection card: www.goodshepherdmn.org/online-connection-card
We have a screen to direct you in worshiping God with us, and the order of worship for each worship service will be listed in the bulletin. Sing as loud or quiet as you like (whether it’s on-key or not).

We do have an elevator!
-
Yes! On Sunday mornings we offer coffee, donuts, and other goodies before and after the service.
On Wednesday evenings from September-April we offer a family dinner in our Fellowship Hall from 5:45-6:30pm. The menu rotates weekly and the cost is $5 a person or $20 per family.

“Good Shepherd is not a large church and it's not a small church, it's a "just right" mid-sized church that happens to be blessed with two phenomenal pastors, a large (relative to the size of the church) and growing youth program that has students actually inviting their friends, and a strong and varied music presence in its services. The congregation is friendly and the pastors know you by name. It's definitely a feeling of "family".
